What is Apprenticeship training?
The apprenticeship training is one of the alternatives of vocational training. It is based on a contract of employment and the practical training periods take place at the workplace in connection with ordinary work assignments.
This is complemented by theoretical studies, which may be arranged at institutions providing vocational education and training, for example at the Institute of Marketing.
Who qualifies for Apprenticeship training?
An apprenticeship contract can be made to a person who already works for the employer, or to a new employee. The contract is based on a fixed-term contract of employment. An entrepreneur can also educate himself /herself through apprenticeship training.
The minimum number of working hours per week is 25. The contract can be made both for young people and adults – there is no upper age limit. Most of the training programmes at the Institute of Marketing require the age of 20 years.
